I am having a blast on tour. We are still ankle deep on our tourcation. Tour plus vacation. Snake Oil is playing a BBQ party which is featuring 50 Bratwursts. I think I will stick to a yummy green salad. Happy Sunday everyone. This is me, right now at 12:28 pm on the last day of May…….xooxxoxo

Pamplemousse is my new word that I found out about on this leg of the tour here in Michigan.
Pamplemousse Grapefruit La Croix
Snake Oil is guzzling grapefruit flavored LaCroix Pamplemousse. Delicious. The Michigan Lake is huge and George is freaked out that it is not an ocean. Michigan has great musical taste and they are super duper friendly. We are having a blast. Here are some photos attached for your viewing pleasure. Nicole and I are sitting in a coffee shop on our computers while the boys are setting up the Snake Oil stage. We are so on tourcation. We coined that as a combo word of tour and vacation. Michigan rocks. More later………………

6:30 am is way too early for a rock star fiddle girl to be up. Ouch….. WE have to load the van up by 8am to head north. Thanks for everyone’s wishes for God Speed and keeping it between the ditches. I am off to pack and head out for some space travels. I will keep you posted.

I just can’t believe that I have written 100 posts on my blog. That is so wild. Thanks everyone for stopping by now and again and leaving comments and offering huge support for this project. This blog has helped me out in so many ways. I have put my life and my perspective out in cyberspace and I am vulnerable, but I just don’t have anything to hide. It is fun and amazing putting my adventures and my obstacles on this platform. I plan on continuing, so stay tuned .
This is my last day of rainy Asheville for a while. I am hopping in the Snake Oil van to go on an 11 day tour through Michigan, New York and West Virginia. I plan on documenting the tour, so this should be fun.
100 Spots on My Pajamas for My 100th Post
I have been frantically trying to catch up from my last tour with Snake Oil that landed me into the deep woods of Georgia to see my lifelong friends. I loved seeing my friends that I grew up with. My band brought a generator in and crossed over 2 river crossings and just rocked it in the woods. Also I dipped in a hillbilly hot tub with my ladies and disco danced in the wee hours of the evening in the Cohutta Wilderness, it was wild. Hopefully photos will pop up soon since I forgot my camera. Ooops Ciao for now….
By the stars and clouds above, we could spend our lives in love.”
I am in love with this quote, coffee, my friends, my lovers past (no comment from the peanut gallery, ha ha), my family, sunshine, goodtimes, beach trips, lemon drops, orange cats, my band and so much more. What are you in love with?????????? Have a great weekend, sorry its a short post but I got to pack up and skidats and hop in the van with Snake Oil Medicine Show to Raleigh and Georgia. I am running late… wooooooooooooooooooooooooooo . C ya.

I am so excited to be in another band, The Tater Diggers. My buddy Ben Scales and I started our little band in North Georgia in Ellijay last summer. We were just pickin on the porch and we had to come up with a name and we remember seeing all the kids that day digging potatoes out of the garden, and hence, the name of our band sprung out. Also joining The Tater Diggers, is Kevin Scanlin, who brings his sea shanties and New Hampshire style tunes. He is a wonderful banjo player. The Tater Diggers played this past weekend at the Montford Music and Arts Festival, that Ben Scales organized. We were graced with this gig because our dear talented musician buddy Cary Fridley joined us on bass and Larry Jerry joined us on washboard. We opened up the festival at 10am and here are a few shots. Cheers.

This guy is one of the coolest dudes I have ever known in my life and I am so grateful that he is walking this journey with me. He is incredibly positive, funny, a genius, talented, generous and he loves to have calamari -offs and nice-offs with people. This dude is still considering clown college but being the front man of Snake Oil Medicine Show, and practicing his cello, dj blacklighting and hanging with hula hooping gal, Mel Mac, this keeps him busy to the max. If you have not had the pleasure to have met this chap, may I please introduce the infamous….(drum roll…..rat-a-tat-tat…) ……………. George Pond…………………………………………………………………………..
Harvest Festival 2000, not sure who gets the photo credit of this, but it is an awesome awesome photo.
Hope you have the best day ever. Every day is new and you can create your own agenda and adventures. So rock on. Keep on with those healthy drinks, shakin that booty, and positive thoughts because it helps out soooooo much.
I am busy as heck. I am getting ready for a Snake Oil Medicine Show weekend in Raleigh on Friday night and a 20th Anniversay BRTGOBP (Blue Ridge Tribal Gathering of Beautiful People).
I am addicted to these green smoothies. Oh yeah....
My best friends Heather and Trey that I grew up with in Atlanta, Georgia, have a family cabin. 20 years ago we started an annual cabin trip, filled with music, swimming in the Jacks River, cocktails, disc golf, goofy fire talks and other crazy shennanigans. Snake Oil Medicine Show is gonna play this event in the woods and I am thrilled. George Pond has a generator that he is bringing in to fuel the event. This cabin is in Ellijay, Georgia and butts up to the backside of the Cohutta Wilderness. Our little Snake Oil van has to go over 2 creek crossings to get there. Should be an adventure.
Also I am looking forward to a 10 day tour with Snake Oil that takes us through Michigan, Canada, New York and West Virginia. We leave next week. So stay tuned for some fun adventures.
Tommorow, Saturday Morning May the 16th, Snake Oil Medicine Show will be playing in my neighborhood. It’s a Block Party Baby!!!!! Optimal. We go on around 4pm ish and my other fun little side project band goes on around 10am, The Tater Diggers. It’s Free!!!!!!!!!
Have a fantabulous weekend my beautiful buddies out there.
Just jumping off the porch
On a side note, I am digging this Classic 1978 Jackson Five Hit “Blame it On the Boogie”. This video rocks all the way from the song, the afros, the dancing and Michael Jackson. I want to cover this song Big time.
