Okay you guys my little niece Josie is taking after her Aunt Caroline. She is gonna be a Rockstar I just know it, a girl after my own heart. She is only one years old, but she sings to her stuffed animals and keeps the beat. Josie loves the ukulele too. I dig my baby niece. I can just see it now, in 20 years this picture will be used as her press photo.

I had a tremendous blast at Grassroots Shakori this weekend. I got there just in time to hang with my wonderful friend Ami Worthen. She and Jason Krekel were heading up a Ukulele Support Group and I got to sing along on Ukulele Girls. What a blast.

I enjoyed so much Zydeco dancing and hopping around with friends. Also, I got to enjoy minestrone soup with the Two Gentlemen Band. I was overjoyed at how many ladies were representing their talents this year at the festival. Ruthy and Mike, Mad Tea Party, Donna The Buffalo, Christobel and the Jons and Miss Tess and the Bon Bon Parade. All these bands had talented amazing women fronting their bands and I just dug that to the max.
Other great news is that Apple is going to fix my computer. So, I will be able to get photos back up on here more often and be a bloggin fool again. Yey. I am in love with Apple again. I just bypassed The Apple Care Customer Service and went to the Customer Service Representative directly and they helped me out soooo much.

On Saturday, George, Andy and I played music for a friend’s birthday party. I was in heaven. Playing music with the Pond Brothers is one of my favorite things to do on this world. We have been playing music for 18 years together. They are my family and we just had a great great show together. We were spot on. Andy just got back from his honeymoon in Hawaii, it was George’s birthday and I finally could hear like a champ. So we sang and played our hearts out.
If you ever need us to play your party, birthday, wedding, graduation, living room, backyard etc., holla at me and leave me a comment.
Pond Farm Pickers would love to play your special event. We are basically Snake Oil Medicine Show without the drums. Of course, you can choose either one of the bands.

I am loving my Fall, its crisp and luscious with blue skies. Sure hope you are as well. I am just enjoying a cup of coffee underneath it all. I just want to put you on my coffee cup and tell you about it. I have been busy working and trying to get more gigs. Going on the road again would bring joy into my heart. I feel like I need to spread my gift to the people. I have been planning and just reorganizing my life a bit and I am having fun doing it. Just putting it out in the universe that all the hopes and dreams that I desire will be presented when its time.
Thanks for stopping by my blog it means so much to me. Hope everyone is doing well.

I had an amazing weekend you guys. I wrote a song that I am really excited about and I had 3 luscious gigs. One of my gigs was at Overlook Lake near Statesville, NC and another one of my gigs was at a Preservation Society Landmark in Asheville. My last gig was a benefit for a friend who has hefty hospital bills. It was a highly musical weekend and I loved every minute of it. Also, I ate brunch yesterday at the Grove Park Inn. That was so delightful. My friend and I won a free brunch and we were in heaven. Unlimited coffee, juices, fruits, eggs, meat products, pies, salads. You name it, it was there. Including a flamingo ice sculpture. Brunching bliss while overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.

happy playing music
I am loving my Fall so far. How about you?

Happy Saturday everyone. I have had a crazy week. I moved from my sweet apartment into a home and so I have been busy settling in.
Also, I had some gal pals from Jacksonville, Florida come visit me. Now its time for me to get ready to go to Charlotte with the Pond Farm Pickers to do a gig. George Pond has a birthday today and he really wanted to do a gig, so off we go.
The last few nights have been cold for me in Asheville. I have fallen asleep with a ski cap on and a sweater. Burr bunnies.
Have a great weekend folks and I will post later.
Much Love and Laughter this weekend.

Yes folks I still wear madras. I know its a popular fabric from the 80’s, but I am keeping it in style. A girl about town, such as yours truly, has to shop on a budget during these hard economical times. Let me tell you, I have been scoring BIG time at the Goodwill in South Asheville. My luck has been amazing, in fact sooooo good that I found this madras skirt and I had to buy it immediately.
It was only 3 dollars. I tried it on and fell in love with it. I took it home and was going to wash it, but before doing so, I reached in the pocket and there was 6 dollars in the skirt. I was thrilled and this lucky finding made my day even brighter. That’s the story of my lucky skirt that did not cost me anything. It was kind of like winning a lottery ticket. I love retail therapy.

Last weekend on the way to Andy and Nicole’s Wedding, my beautiful friend Delphine and I loaded up on the bus. Of course she and I had to do some photo shoots with my fancy camera, so here are some of our silly shots.

I have had the best weekend ever. Andy and Nicole got married and some of my beautiful friends were here for the weekend.
Delphine from California and Emil from Colorado. My roomie and Blue Waters all had a blast together. I felt like I was on vacation in my own hometown. It rained a ton, but now the sun is shining on my doorstep today.
Sorry I have been out of touch. Its so tough without a computer still. Much Love and Fall Seasonings.
